ConTacto is a collection of inclusive products designed to facilitate human interaction with electrical outlets. Featuring a range of protective covers for Type A, B, and USB outlets strategically placed on walls, users can engage safely through a thoughtfully crafted combination of textures and guides.

This project originated with the intent to develop inclusive products for the broader population, spurred by a comprehensive study of the daily routines of individuals with visual impairments. Our understanding emerged from recognizing that the interaction between humans and electricity is often perceived as an intimidating and hazardous activity.

PROCESS:

The project development had a duration of 2 months, involving remote teamwork. It was a comprehensive design process, encompassing user interviews, benchmarking, research, insights, sketching, and physical prototyping.

Addressing a real issue such as visual impairments required a deep level of empathy with the user. We sought to identify areas where we could provide an optimal solution for their daily routine.

Type: User Experience and Industrial Design.
